Description:
|
The client operates a biological research station at a nearby lake in Northern Virginia on a seasonal basis. The station provides summer housing for approximately 130 people, including laundry and shower facilities. Wastewater treatment is provided via a Smith and Lovelace packaged treatment unit on-site.
Contracted to provide a dechlorination system design as well as an operational and maintenance assessment of the wastewater treatment plant. As a result of the assessment, recommended improvements including: installation of tablet-type chemical feeders for chlorination and dechlorination, new contact chamber, grating and handrails. The recommendations were accepted and design drawings and specifications were provided. Consulting services for testing schedule modification, Operator Training, and review/feedback of operational data were also provided.
