Description:
|
Using mixed liquor provided by facility, alum treated samples were visually screened to determine which dosage had the greatest impact on clarification, settling and color removal. Tests were conducted using a series of concentrations to determine the optimum dosage of alum. Additonal testing was carried out to detmine the optimum dosage of a common flocculant. After optimization testing, one dosage for coagulant and one for flocculant were chosed to evaluate reomoval of aquatic toxicity from system. Filtrate was shipped and tested by a third pary laboratory using standard protocol.
