| Description: | The project focus was to determine sources of dye shade variation throughout the entire flow of the manufacturing facility. A complete examination of the following processes was conducted: (1)Laydown, (2) Opening, Blending, Mixing (3) Carding, (4) Drawing (5) Spinning (6) Winding (7) Ball Warping (8) Indigo Dyeing (9) Re-beaming (10) Slashing (11) Weaving (12) Preparation (13) Finishing. A pre-evaluation of available data was conducted, followed by a 4 day site visit to the plant. Final analysis was performed and root causes of shade variation were determined and outlined in a final report to the client. |
